Have Fun with our "Caption This" Campaign
As part of the 2017 - 2020 Strategic Plan, FCAR Communications will be building a public-facing portion of the FCAR website. We would love your input! The above image will be the header to the new webpage. In honor of National Superhero Day, Friday, April 28th (yes, it's a thing!) we've got a fun campaign to get the ball rolling...can you "Caption This"? Share with us any words, phrases or sentences that come to mind, that describe to the public the epic value of working with a Realtor®. If your entry is chosen, you will win a gift card from the Downtown Frederick Partnership.

Live Downtown Housing Symposium
As you may or may not be aware, Downtown Frederick Partnership's 2020 Strategic Plan identifies Live Downtown Frederick as one of our top five goals to address. The Partnership's goal is to welcome 335 new residents to Downtown Frederick by 2020. To achieve this goal, the Partnership has hired a consultant team to look at the incentives and disincentives to developing more residences in Downtown Frederick.
This analysis along with potential policy recommendations will be presented on Friday, April 28 at the Live Downtown Frederick Housing Symposium. The event will begin with networking from 7:30 - 8AM and will be followed by the presentation as well as a speaker's panel. The link to register: https://livedowntownfrederick.eventbrite.com/
May Membership Meeting
Did you know that 27 percent of all homeowners in the United States have purchased an Internet of Things (IoT) device for their home? In 2016, 80 million smart home devices were delivered worldwide, a 64 percent increase from 2015. Smart home technology is a reality and it's only growing in use. It affects our industry and our businesses... and NAR is on top of it!
David Conroy, from the Center for REALTOR® Technology (CRT Labs) will be our guest speaker at the Membership Meeting on May 4th. CRT Labs is a research group operated by the National Association of Realtors®, with the goal of serving the REALTOR® Membership as an industry advocate, and implementation consultant and technology resource.
David Conroy will be here all the way from Chicago, so come and find out what NAR is doing to keep REALTORS® out in front of technology.
