ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Andy Mahowald is a second-generation REALTOR® and Broker/Owner of Insight Realty Group in Watertown, South Dakota. He assists his clients/customers with solid advice in residential, commercial, investment, and land brokerage transactions.

Andy has been fortunate to be able to volunteer at all levels of the REALTOR® family. He remembers being called by a respected, 'seasoned' REALTOR® to run for State Leadership early in his career. The confidence placed in him has never been forgotten. He knows the responsibility of those serving in leadership is identifying and supporting our future leaders.

Andy serves as 2023 Liaison to Federal and Public Issues with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Most recently, Andry has been a member of the NAR Finance Committee. Other NAR committee involvement includes RPAC Trustees, RPAC Fundraising, and chairing the Political Forum. He was South Dakota State President in 2005, and Regional Vice President for Region 8 in 2010. Andy has served as Federal Political Coordinator for Senator John Thune since his election in 2006.

Free time for Andy is spent with his family and friends. He and his wife Becky have 4 boys and 2 daughters-in-law (as of 2022). They enjoy spending time on the water, patio, golf course, or intense game nights.
